LOOP System Sound Studios' founder & chief recording engineer, Desmond You, has over 18 years experience in the music and recording industry.

Desmond started at a young age of 16 as a mobile DJ to pursue and realize his music passion. He took part in several DJ competitions and top with flying colours. He was then signed on to be Resident DJ at Chinoiserie - the once renowned local club at the Grand Hyatt

After 6 years of DJ spinning, Desmond joined Form Recording Studio to gain hands on working experience in a professional recording studio. He was fast promoted from an apprentice to an assistant recording engineer. 4 years later, he left and joined Sonic Recording Studio as a Recording Engineer

Desmond was privileged to have worked with artists such as Sandy Lam, Zhang Hui Mei, Gigi Leung, Jeff Chang, Dick Lee, In-A-Chord and Budak Pantai during his time in both recording studios.

Desmond not only has the experience of working full time, he also freelanced for a coupled of years. During the cover version music craze period, Desmond produced many English and Mandarin cover version compilation albums that sold well locally and in the regional market. He did many remixes that were hits in Thailand and Malaysia.

In year 2001, armed with rich music background and sound engineering knowledge, Desmond decided to build his own professional recording studio. As always, he is poised to set new standards in the music and recording production industry.
